Robert Mealing is the owner of TarotHistory.com, and the host of the Tarot History Forum, one of the most popular English-speaking sites on the internet for discussing Tarot History.

He is also co-creator of Tarotpedia: the Online Encyclopedia of Tarot, and has written several articles for the Association for Tarot Studies.

Robert's primary area of interest is comparing and contrasting iconographic elements of early tarot decks and tracing their changes over time and place. He is especially interested in the origins of the Cary-Sheet, the Marseille Pattern, and early decks from Bologna.

Robert currently lives in Oxford, England, and is studying English Local History at Oxford University.
